Tag Americas announces commitment to Time to Vote movement for U.S.

New York, New York (October 12, 2020) Tag, the global creative production partner to brands and agencies, announces today a commitment to the Time to Vote  movement for Tag Americas’ U.S. employees. Time to Vote is a nonpartisan effort for companies to increase voter participation in the United States. The movement joins together more than 1,500+ companies, to support voter rights and emphasize the importance of giving all employees the opportunity to vote, regardless of job function or work commitments.

In a recent press release, Time to Vote explains: The 2020 elections are anticipated to face many unique challenges. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the stakes for removing barriers to voting are higher than ever. Recent primaries have suffered from a lack of poll workers and malfunctioning voting machines, resulting in even longer wait times. Additionally, with the elections approaching in the midst of a global movement for racial equality, it has brought to the forefront how communities of color are disproportionately affected by systemic voter suppression and the role CEOs can play in helping to protect our democracy for all people.

Ajit Kara, CEO Tag Americas continues: “Now more than ever, in the midst of a pandemic, we realize that work-life balance is a challenge for all of us. We never want employees to choose between working or voting. With that, we’ve committed to giving employees six dedicated hours to spend voting or helping others vote.”

In addition to this commitment, Tag also offers 16 hours of paid volunteer time, which can be used supporting the electoral process.
